Picking chantarelle and berries is one of the most favourite hobbies of a Swede. It is the intention of stuffing your fridge with food from the woods and than make fantastic dinners en delicious pies. Yesterday Maarten and Chantal went into the woods, but because of the very dry summer there are not so much chantarelles this year then in other years (last year it was overwhelming). They picked just a few chantarelles and other mushrooms of wich they where uncertain. Our swedish neighbour was able to seperate the eatable and the non-eatable. Afterwards he gave Moni cooking instruction of how to get the best taste out of the chantarelles and a delecious lunch was prepared. Hmmmm.

Slånkvicku ends every year with ratt fink reunion. Lots of the owners of the oldtimers stay at our camping during that reunion. So during that weekend it sounds like old snoring motors and rockmusik. More pictures on facebook!

Across the camping, on one of the islands breeds the osprey (visarend, fiskgjuse), every year again. A guest took marvellous pictures during his boattrip.

We have got some real nice pictures from German guests. They took the pictures of the beach from the camping spot where they stayed for a few days. Thanks for that!

Midsommar. All the cabins where full booked, there where a lot of caravans and it was a very nice atmosphere!

We have an owl that lives in a tree on our camping. Every night you can hear him and some guests have also seen him by daylight. One guest made these foto's en send them to us: stor tack! As you can see has the owl tree young ones.
